Welcome to Folle + Sophistiquée!
Why are we doing this blog? If you know either of us at all, you know we love playing dress-up and all about our (only slightly scary) obsession with Rachel Zoe, the Kardashians and Olivia Palermo. We're doing this mostly because we love all things fashion and want to challenge ourselves every day. Friends love our style so we thought why not share it with everyone and keep a diary in cyberspace. And we’ll hear what people really think! Also, because Laks is moving at the end of the year (Tear! But we're not talking about that right now. Or ever!) and this blog is a good way for us to stay connected to each other and to all of our friends.
What does Folle + Sophistiquée even mean, you ask? Well, according to Google Translate (don't laugh!), it means crazy and sophisticated. Again, if you know us, you know who's the crazy one and who's sophisticated. No explanations necessary here. So while coming up with a name, we decided English wasn't quite cool enough for us and we decided to translate our blog title into French. The final result looked pretty. And that is all we needed.
What to expect from this blog? We intend for it to be a lifestyle blog, where we chronicle all the amazingly unglamorous things we do and what we wear while doing them. The goal is to talk less and show more. This is where we say something clever and transition into our photos. But it's late and this whole blog thing is harder than it looks.
